This site works without knowing who you are. No accounts, no sign-ups, no advertising. Your ZIP code and usage numbers are used to compute your results and are not saved to any profile. We use standard analytics to understand how the site is used, described below.

Your inputs. The ZIP code and monthly usage you enter are sent to our server to look up your utility territory and compute results. They appear in the page’s web address so you can bookmark or share your results, but we do not tie them to you or store them in a profile.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages visited, general location, device type, and how visitors move through the site. Google Analytics sets cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to do this. We use this information only in aggregate, to improve the site. You can opt out with Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or by using your browser’s cookie controls.

What you send us, if you contact us. If you use the contact form, we receive and store what you submit — your message, and your name and email if you include them — solely to read and respond.

Ordinary server records. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help. It also records simple actions, like when someone searches a ZIP code or clicks a plan link. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. We do not sell this data. We never collect your name, email, or street address.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for marketing. We do not run advertising. No electricity provider learns what you viewed or chose here.

The site and its database run on established third-party hosting infrastructure that processes data on our behalf. Contact-form messages are stored there until we delete them.

Plan documents, enrollment pages, and PowerToChoose.org are external sites with their own privacy practices. Once you leave this site, this policy no longer applies.

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
