Base Energy 12
Simple energy pricing, with an older delivery figure in the linked EFL. The current broker listing links to a September 16 EFL for Base Energy 12. It specifies a 7.3-cent energy charge, no supplier base charge and no usage credit. Its advertised averages still use the older Oncor delivery rate. The examples below use the October 4 delivery schedule, which makes them higher than those printed EFL averages.
- Modeled annual cost
- $1,748.80 12,000 kWh across a seasonal year
- EFL advertised rate
- 13.7¢ per kWh at exactly 1,000 kWh/month
- Contract term
- 12 months One-year commitment
All modeled figures use the researched energy rate and dated Oncor delivery charges. Taxes, assessments, optional services and conditional account fees are excluded. Delivery charges can change.

What goes into the bill
Oncor delivery was checked on October 23, 2026 against the delivery schedule updated October 4, 2026. The modeled delivery amounts are separate from the fixed supplier energy charge. These assumptions stay fixed in this dated analysis.
The older saved EFL prints delivery of 6.0295¢/kWh. Its advertised averages above are preserved as historical source figures. Our modeled bills instead use the October delivery schedule, so they are higher than those printed averages.
How the bill changes with usage
Each bar is one separate monthly bill. With no usage credits, costs increase steadily. The fixed delivery charge is spread over more kWh as usage rises.

1,000 kWh on average is not 1,000 every month
Our standard seasonal example uses 12,000 kWh over twelve months. Its modeled annual cost is $1,748.80, equivalent to 14.57¢/kWh. With no usage-credit thresholds, the annual energy cost depends on the total kWh rather than which months use the most.

Who should take a closer look
This gives shoppers a useful comparison for a straightforward 100% renewable offer without a usage cliff. Confirm that the enrollment documents match this exact energy-only plan and rate. Do not assume other Base products have the same equipment, contract or pricing terms.
This is an energy-only analysis. It includes no battery installation, equipment payment or solar export revenue. The broker’s 1,000-kWh estimate of $145.73 is consistent with the EFL energy charge plus updated delivery, but that does not replace checking the final enrollment EFL. The source issue date remains September 16; October 23 is the date we retrieved and reviewed it.
Read the contract’s cancellation conditions and exceptions. A fixed energy rate does not freeze delivery charges or other changes permitted by the contract.
Charges beyond electricity use
This provider was not covered by our July 2026 fee study. The EFL is not a complete list of account fees. Review the linked terms for late payments, returned payments, disconnection, deposits and other conditions; a missing fee list does not mean there are no fees.
These charges are not added to the modeled electricity costs. Deposits, taxes, TDU service fees and other contract conditions may also apply. Read the terms of service and the July 2026 hidden fee study.
