Veteran Energy Valor 12

A smaller bill credit still creates a sharp monthly threshold. Valor 12 subtracts $50 when a billing cycle exceeds 999 kWh. The wording matters: these examples use whole-kWh readings, where 999 does not qualify and 1,000 does. An annual average of 1,000 kWh does not guarantee twelve credits. The relatively high energy charge continues to apply after the credit is earned.

The usage test

See what changes at the credit threshold

Each bar is one separate monthly bill. Compare the readings just below and at each threshold: using slightly more electricity can qualify for a credit that changes the bill sharply.

Whole-kWh examples only. The EFL says “> 999 kWh.” These discrete points do not model fractional meter readings or a continuous credit boundary.

Who should take a closer look

Check the lowest readings in your actual history. Our seasonal example earns five usage credits, totaling $250. A home using exactly 1,000 kWh every month earns $600. The $350 difference comes entirely from when the same annual electricity use occurs.

The EFL lists 3% renewable content, with an optional upgrade during enrollment. Upgrade charges are excluded. Paperless communications and a valid email address are required. The cancellation fee falls as the contract runs down; leaving with ten months remaining would cost $200 before any applicable exception.

Contract fees

Charges beyond electricity use

This provider was not covered by our July 2026 fee study. The EFL is not a complete list of account fees. Review the linked terms for late payments, returned payments, disconnection, deposits and other conditions; a missing fee list does not mean there are no fees.

These charges are not added to the modeled electricity costs. Deposits, taxes, TDU service fees and other contract conditions may also apply. Read the terms of service and the July 2026 hidden fee study.
